Mark Maynard graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stetson University. He then attended the University of Florida College of Law and graduated in 1991.

Extensive Experience and a Trusted Attorney

Mr. Maynard  served as a Prosecutor at the Office of the State Attorney in Sarasota County from 1991 until 2002. In this position he gained invaluable experience handling thousands of cases that dealt with everything from misdemeanors to homicides. In the last four years, he was assigned to a specialized division that prosecuted capital sexual battery, habitual felony offenders and other serious cases. Mark also tried over 100 jury trials while serving as Prosecutor. Serving as both a Prosecutor and a defense attorney has given Mark the knowledge and experience you need in a Criminal Defense attorney.

Going into Private Practice

Mark Maynard decided to enter private practice in 2002 and he joined the firm of Baranowizc, Calderon, and Deciantis in Venice, Florida. Here he litigated Criminal Defense and Family Law cases. Mark established the Law Office of Mark Maynard in 2003, which focused on Criminal Defense, Family Law and Civil Litigation.  Mark has tried hundreds of jury trials as both a prosecutor and defense attorney.  His recent trials include representing the accused in burglary and homicide cases.

Mr. Maynard represents clients in the areas of Family Law, Criminal Defense, and Foreclosure in Sarasota, Manatee, DeSoto, and Charlotte counties.

Since he has been admitted to practice law in 1991, Mr. Maynard has been a member of the Florida Bar Association, Sarasota County Bar Association, Venice Bar Association, Florida and Sarasota Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.
